A Mansfield web designer for businesses that want more enquiries

A website is only worth having if it brings in work. That is the test I apply to every site I build: does it make it easy for the right person to find you, trust you and get in touch? I’m a one-person web design and SEO business in Mansfield, and I work directly with business owners across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, from electricians and roofers to shops, cafés and professional firms.

Every site is built to order in WordPress, so it’s fast, secure and yours to keep, with your domain, your hosting account and your licences in your own name. The average page on my sites loads in under 0.8 seconds, and I agree a fixed price before any work starts. To see what that looks like in practice, have a look at my recent work, or read how a web design project runs from first call to launch.

What a good small-business website actually does

Most business websites let their owners down for simple reasons. They are slow, they are awkward on a phone, or a visitor can’t tell within a few seconds what you do and how to reach you. Fixing those basics does more than any clever design. A site that works hard usually has:

  • A clear first screen. What you do, where you work and how to contact you, without scrolling.
  • Fast loading. Slow pages lose visitors before they have read a word.
  • A phone-first layout. A tap-to-call number and a short enquiry form that work properly on a small screen.
  • Proof. Real reviews, real photos and examples of finished work.
  • A page for each service and area, so Google knows what to show you for each search.

That is the approach behind every website I build, and it is why a well-made site keeps working long after launch.

Being found on Google in your own area

Building the site is half the job. The other half is being found. When someone searches for “roofer Mansfield” or “electrician near me”, Google usually shows a map with a few businesses first, then the ordinary results underneath. Getting into that map, and higher up the results below it, is what local SEO means: a properly set-up Google Business Profile, a website with a page for each service and area you cover, and consistent details wherever your business is listed.

I do this work myself. Nobody can honestly promise a top position, because Google decides that, but I can give you the strongest foundations and report on what is changing each month. Local SEO starts from £300 a month on a rolling basis, and there is a national SEO option if you sell across the UK.

Clear prices, agreed before we start

You get a fixed price before any work begins, and payments are staged across a build, so you never pay for work that hasn’t happened yet. As a guide:

Tell me what you need and you’ll get a straight answer on scope and price, usually the same day.

Working together, wherever you are

Everything is done remotely, so it works the same whether you’re in Mansfield or the other side of the county. We talk by phone, WhatsApp, email or video call, and I’m around every day from 09:00 to 21:00. You deal directly with the person designing and building your site, with no account managers and nothing outsourced.

The easiest way to start is a message. Send me a short brief or tap the WhatsApp button, and I’ll come back with a plan and a fixed price.

Areas I work in

I'm based in Mansfield and work with businesses across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, and anywhere in the UK for SEO. Each town has its own page:

Questions I'm often asked

How much does a website cost?
Web design starts from £850, WordPress development from £1,200 and online shops from £2,400. You get a fixed price before work starts, based on the pages and features you need. If you'd rather spread the cost, pay-monthly websites start from £65 a month with hosting and support included.
How long does a website take?
Most brochure sites take two to four weeks from sign-off. Larger builds, such as shops or sites with custom features, are given their own timeline when the job is scoped, so you know what to expect before you commit.
Will I own my website?
You keep ownership of your domain, your hosting account and your licences, and there is no lock-in. Pay-monthly plans have their own terms, which are agreed in writing before anything starts.
Can you help my business show up on Google?
Yes. Local SEO sets up your Google Business Profile, builds a page for each service and area you cover, and reports monthly on what is changing. It starts from £300 a month, rolling. Nobody can promise a particular position, but the groundwork makes a real difference.
Do you only work with businesses in Mansfield?
No. I work with businesses across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, and SEO work is done for clients anywhere in the UK. Everything is handled by phone, WhatsApp, email and video call, so where you are makes no difference to the service.
What happens if something goes wrong with my site?
Message me on WhatsApp and I'll look at it. Website care plans start from £45 a month and cover updates, backups and security monitoring, and one-off fixes are quoted at a fixed price. Most messages get a reply the same day.
How do we get started?
Send a short message about what you do and what you want the site to achieve, by WhatsApp, email, phone or the contact form. I'm around every day from 09:00 to 21:00, and most enquiries get a same-day reply with a plan and a fixed price.
