Simon Says Web Design is a one-person business in Mansfield. I’ve been building WordPress websites since 2011, starting with brochure sites and repairs for local businesses and growing into online shops, integrations, rescue jobs and ongoing care for sites across the East Midlands.

What that means for you is simple. The person you speak to when you ask for a quote is the person who designs the site, writes the code, launches it and, if you like, looks after it afterwards. There’s no sales team, no account manager and nobody to pass your request on to.

My clients are mostly small and medium-sized businesses, and the sites reflect that mix. Recent projects and sites I look after include:

I work in plain English and keep the process simple. You get a fixed price before any work begins, and payments are staged across a build so you never pay for work that hasn’t happened yet. I’ll tell you plainly if something you’ve asked for isn’t worth the money.

Sites are built to load quickly, with an average page load under 0.8 seconds, and to be easy for you to edit yourself. You keep ownership of your domain, your hosting account and your licences, so leaving is always possible. If you’d rather not deal with updates, backups and security, a care plan covers them from £45 a month.

My Google Business Profile has 31 reviews, all five stars. I’d rather earn reviews like that than promise the earth, which is why I’m careful to explain what’s realistic, particularly with SEO, where nobody can honestly guarantee a position. What I can promise is clear communication, a fixed price and work done properly.
