Real websites for real businesses
These are websites I’ve built or look after, for businesses in Mansfield, across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, and further afield. They range from a straightforward brochure site for a local tradesperson to an online shop with more than a hundred products, and from a venue’s site to a photographer’s portfolio.
Each one started with the same question: what does this site need to do for this business? The answer shaped the design, the content and the features, which is why no two of them look alike.
What these projects have in common
- A clear purpose. Every site is built around one or two jobs, such as getting a phone call, a quote request or an order.
- Speed. Pages load quickly, with an average under 0.8 seconds across my sites.
- Built for phones. Most visitors arrive on a mobile, so that’s where each design starts.
- Easy to edit. Clients can change text, images and prices themselves once the site is live.
- Looked after. Updates, backups and security monitoring are available on a care plan.
The kinds of project I take on
The work falls into a few kinds. Business websites for trades and professional firms, where the goal is enquiries. Online shops built on WooCommerce, such as a workwear retailer with well over a hundred products; see WooCommerce development. Local SEO work, which brings in customers from searches in their own area; see local SEO. And ongoing care for sites such as a private-hire venue and a research company; see website care.
How a project runs
Every project follows the same simple path. We agree what the site needs to do, I quote a fixed price, I design and build it while keeping you updated, and you see it before it goes live. After launch I can host it and look after it if you’d like. You can read more about the process on the web design page.
Want a project like these?
If you’d like something similar, send me a short message about your business and what you want the site to do. Most enquiries get a reply the same day, with a plan and a fixed price.
