Tips for Improving Your Business’ Google Ranking

Tips for Improving Your Business' Google Ranking

Tips for Improving Your Business’ google Ranking

SEO services for Mornington Peninsula businesses can make a large difference in the traffic your website sees throughout the day, so you may want to consider optimisation if you’re looking to increase traffic and visibility. Before getting into how you can improve your visibility google ranking, let’s discuss what SEO is and why you should care about it.

Search engine optimisation, or SEO, is the way traffic to websites is improved for search engines. SEO determines where your website ranks when users search for products or services related to your business. Higher rankings mean more traffic and visibility while lower rankings mean less traffic.

If you’re still not quite sure what SEO is or how to work with it, you can always get in contact with experts that have extensive training and knowledge of search engine optimisation – you may even get a free SEO analysis performed that can let you know what is working in your favour and what is not. Now, let’s get into how you can enhance your SEO and improve your company’s google Ranking.

Keywords

Keywords and their placement are one of the most important aspects of search engine optimisation. When using keywords, put yourself in the mind of someone searching for the product or services you are offering. The keywords used should be highly relevant to your business, but try not to go overboard and include a ridiculous amount of keywords hoping to increase traffic. In fact, unrelated or haphazardly used keywords can result in being flagged.

Page Title

The title tag of your website is displayed in search results and also appears at the top of web browsers, letting users know exactly what they can expect on the web page. Only a certain number of characters is displayed, so descriptions need to be short, relevant, and engaging. If you’re planning on using keywords or highlighting a certain topic, these should be displayed in the title tag or page title itself.

Mobile Site

Mobile devices are a part of life in this modern world, so making sure customers can access your site on their smartphones and tablets is one of the key ways to improve your SEO ranking. Almost half of all organic traffic comes from mobile devices, and google factors user experience into rankings, so optimisation of websites for mobile interfaces leads to a higher rank in google searches.

Avoid Flash

Many businesses use Flash to run their websites due to the ease of launching the site and the cost-effectiveness of the program. Flash, however, does not get along well with google and sites using Flash tend to be ranked lower. The reason for this is because with websites ran using Flash, individual pages cannot be linked. Simply changing the platform of your website could significantly increase visibility and improve SEO.

These are just a few of the techniques you can use to improve your web traffic and enhance the SEO of your site. If you’re in need of a complete website overhaul, contact professionals that can perform a google.com/website?sl=ar&tl=en&hl=en&u=https://www.socialpanda.com.au/free-SEO-review/”>free SEO analysis and know exactly how to get the job done right the first time. Otherwise, you may end up missing out on tons of inbound traffic and opportunities for conversion and organic growth.

How to Rank Higher in Google With My Top 5 SEO Tips

How to Rank Higher in Google With My Top 5 SEO Tips

How to Rank Higher in google With My Top 5 SEO Tips

If you’ve stumbled upon this article, chances are pretty good that you want to rank higher in the search engines, and particularly, how to rank higher in google, Yahoo, and Bing. Well, here’s the good news first: you can!

But of course, every piece of good news comes with a downside, and that is the following: reaching a #1 ranking in google takes a lot of time, a lot of work and there are no shortcuts (sorry!). There aren’t even many “SEO secrets” that aren’t already known by most webmasters. However, there are 5 very straightforward SEO tips I can give you, a webmaster, if you’re looking to increase your search engine exposure and reach the first page of google‘s SERPs (Search Engine Results Page):

1) Title Tags. If you asked me, “What is the easiest, quickest way to improve my google ranking, I’d say it’s optimizing your title tag. Your title tag is the title of the webpage you want a higher rank for. The title for the page you’re on right now is probably something like, “How to Rank Higher in google with my Top 5 SEO Tips.”

If you are trying to rank a site that is about Jungle Gyms, you probably want your title tag to be something like, “Jungle Gyms – Safety and Maintenance” or if you’re looking to sell Jungle Gyms, maybe something like, “Buy Jungle Gyms at Discount Cost.” You get the idea.

Here’s the summary: figure out what your potential readers/customers will be searching for to find you, and make your title tag something very, very close to that. google thinks Title Tags are extremely important, and you should too.

2) Site content. Even if your title tags are optimized, the content of your site must closely match what your audience is searching for. If you’re selling Jungle Gyms but you don’t have the words “Jungle Gyms” anywhere on your site, google will think your site is about something else, and it won’t show your site to people who search for “Jungle Gyms.” Especially important is to put your target keywords in your header tags (H1, H2, etc.), as google sees these as especially important pieces of content on your site.

3). Inner linking. Try as much as you can to link to all the pages on your site, within your site. For example, if you have a page on your site that is about Jungle Gym safety, include a sentence on that page about Jungle Gym maintenance, and link your readers to that page, as well. Not only does this help readers navigate through your site, but it helps google spiders crawl your site, and this helps your sites get ranked. Also, make sure to include the proper anchor text. So, do not include a link that says “Click here,” or else google will think your site is about “clicking here.” Make your anchor text something like “Jungle Gym maintenance.”

4) Anchor-text optimized backlinks. Speaking of backlinks, you’re going to need them. A lot of them. Backlinks are the single most important factor to SEO. If you do not have high quality, anchor-text relevant backlinks, you’re never going to reach the top of google‘s SERPs. Aside from having a great website that other webmasters will link to naturally, the best way to get high quality backlinks is to create them yourself.

You can get backlinks from article directories like this one, you can post in forums with your site in your signature, you can post in blogs, you can submit your site to various online directories, and much more. Spend the majority of your time bolstering your backlink profile (and invest in SEO software, if you must), because that is what google looks to when they want to decide if your site is legitimate or not.

5) Patience, patience, patience. This is probably the best tip I can give you. 99.9% of site owners try to understand SEO and eventually quit, because ranking their site took too long. It’s a cliche, but it’s true: Search Engine optimisation is a marathon, not a sprint. You won’t rank #1 overnight. It never happens. Ever. You’ll need persistence above all, and with the right SEO tools, SEO training, and SEO strategies like the ones I’ve given you above, you too can be one of those at the top.

How to Survive Google Algorithm Updates

How to Survive Google Algorithm Updates

How to Survive google Algorithm Updates

Every smart online business owner and Internet marketer knows that search engine optimisation (SEO) is a huge part of ranking high in search engine result pages, which ultimately leads to more traffic. However, there are good ways and bad ways to go about optimizing your site. The recent google Penguin update shows us that bad SEO techniques will no longer be tolerated. To stay ahead of the game, you need to avoid the temptation to use bad SEO techniques, and concentrate on ethical SEO strategies.

So what is the google algorithm update? In February, 2011, google rolled out the Panda algorithm update. This update changed the way that google ranked webpages, so that they could watch and control spam. The goal was to reward high-quality websites in the search engine results pages, and get rid of the low-quality sites that were simply trying to make money and not tell and entertain site visitors. google estimates that the Panda change affected about 12% of websites on English language search pages. On April 24, 2012, google released the Penguin update, which cracked down even harder on spam sites and websites that used bad SEO techniques to manipulate their rankings in the search engine searches. google says that a further 3% of websites got written off as a result of this update.

What exactly is bad SEO? Bad SEO techniques involve using unethical methods to rank higher in the search engine results. This type of SEO makes a website look more important and useful than it actually is. It can also mislead web surfers so that they inadvertently end up at a website they were not searching for. Bad SEO also involves posting poor quality web content that has no value to site visitors just to get back links. There are a few poor SEO techniques to avoid. Such as keyword stuffing, this involves taking a highly searched keyword or phrase and inserting it into web content at a very high and unnecessary density just so you can rank for those terms.

Another method is through spinning articles. many people believe that measure trumps quality when it comes to content on a website. Some people resort to using spinning machines or poor rewrites of existing content to bolster the content on their website. Another poor method is buying links. It is a well-known fact that google looks at the links pointing back to your site and ranks your site through this. However, if those links are coming from poor sites or back link mills that you paid for, you will most likely be penalized. Misleading anchor text. The keywords in your link, also known as the anchor text, should match the topics in the content, and they should also match the content on your website. If you use keywords that point back to your site that have nothing to do with your site, you are essentially spamming.

Although google does prefer people creating original, compelling content that will naturally draw people to their sites, they do not mind people using ethical SEO strategies. This is because they understand that SEO is marketing, and that is just good business sense. If you are going optimize your site, use white hat SEO techniques. These include posting regular, unique, and useful content, using social media marketing to draw people to your site, and gaining organic links from high quality websites.

Professional SEO and Linkbuilding After Google Penguin Update

Professional SEO and Linkbuilding After Google Penguin Update

Professional SEO and Linkbuilding After google Penguin Update

google frequently changes its search algorithm and penalizes duplicated content, reduces spam and eliminates poor link building techniques with irrelevant links, all to provide your website with a better ranking in google searches.

If you do not follow the latest google SEO news and updates like “Penguin”, you can lose your website position in search engines like google. The idea behind the creation of the google Penguin algorithm is reflected in rewarding sites with unique content. For optimal performance which is NOT based on a spam website positioning and techniques, professional SEO services for SEO link building that does do not contain spam SEO tricks and methods are constantly utilized to conform to and follow google rules.

SEO techniques for building links after a Penguin algorithms update, and still maintaining a positive effect on positioning websites in searches are part of the old google SEO rules:

Article Submission– Article submission is a good way of marketing and setting up back links to your website. Now the article submission is an increasingly rare way to back linking as google has found many article directories and defined them as spam. We have still some good article directories where you can post your written articles, and one of these good article directories is exactly this one where you are reading my article. Still, the same rule applies as before, write good articles, construct a good and unique article.

Back links from forum profiles– Forums are great places where you can set links. On most forums,we have a text field, a field that is below your profile and the present profile online signature. This is a good place where you can write a short text and set the back link pointing to your website.

Comments on blogs– You can leave comments on blogs and can set forth your personal opinion. Due to that, some blog visitors can learn more about your “SEO services“. In addition to attitudes and opinions that can be placed on blogs, you can set the links to your website which further directs blog visitors to your website. You must find blogs that have topic appropriate to your niche and you need to check that blogs have follow, or no follow back links.

You need to find blogs that have followed links to achieve the right effect with google.

How do you know if it follows or not?

If you know HTML code it will not be hard to find, just select the comment with link and you can see the source, all will be shown. If you do not know HTML code then you need to use some SEO tools to show that the back link does not follow. You need to pay attention to your comments parameters. Before you post a comment you must be sure that your comment have same topic as the article, so it takes a little time to read the article and understand the content. Avoid short comments like this “this is a nice article” for the moderator will not allow comments such as that to be published.

If you not follow the google updates and your website has been hit with a new Penguin update you must monitor your back links and find some of the link building techniques that google now punishes.

What should be avoided?

Dangerous websites– Dangerous websites that have a lot of advertising in the content, these websites are already punished or penalized by google. Dangerous websites that promote spam or violence and pornography are NOT good for setting up links. google checks the location where it directs users.

Paid back links– All back links that you pay for advertising on other websites, to promote your website and target specific keywords, should be abolished. google believes that each stream of paid advertising is bad for organic search.

Spam Blog comments– Blog comments with a low Page Rank without filters to delete spam comments will not help your website to be positioned better in google searches. The new google Penguin update punishes blogs that don’t have good content and have lots of anchor text. Every blog, every website that does not filter comments is a kind of spam, so if you set a link your website may seem like spam.

You need to find and get organic back links. If you do not know how to get organic back links and are not sure how to not be penalized by google it is best to find a google.com/website?sl=ar&tl=en&hl=en&u=http://www.fotosasa.net/index2.html”>professional SEO services to take care of your SEO. Your website must have a good and unique content, good content will help for better positioning in google searches for all pages on your website.

SEO Vs Google AdWords – Online Marketing

SEO Vs Google AdWords - Online Marketing

SEO Vs google AdWords – Online Marketing

So you’ve just got your amazing new website designed. What now? How do you get your target market/audience to explore your new online business home? The answer? Online Marketing.

Online Marketing, also known as internet marketing, is the art of using various techniques and methods to advertise and sell products or services via the internet. These techniques and methods can be categorized into the follow: E-mail marketing, YouTube Marketing, Blogging, Social Media Marketing, Affiliate Marketing and more.

However, today I would like to focus on one main category of online marketing, Search Engine Results. Search Engine Results is divided into two sub groups – SEO (Search Engine optimisation) and Pay Per Click (paid advertising). More specifically, I would like to focus on google AdWords.

SEO (Search Engine optimisation)

SEO is a natural/organic way of getting your website to display within the top results on search engines such as google, Bing and Yahoo. This type of online marketing needs upkeep and will need to be maintained over time to ensure that the results are consistent. SEO provides organic search results.

SEO is a great way to build brand awareness and a lasting company image on the internet.

The concept of SEO is simple – optimize your website to be “search-engine-friendly”, however executing this is a difficult and time consuming task. SEO is not a once-off online marketing tool that you can use to promote your business, it is a long-term investment. The ROI of SEO is great and cannot be compared to any other marketing as it all depends on how competitive your niche market is regarding SEO and of course how good your team of SEO experts are.

Hiring the right SEO company is essential. Do not rush this step, if you do, you can either get your website banned and blacklisted on search engines or you could get the best online marketing out there. As mentioned above, SEO is a long-term investment, this means that every SEO/Website Design company out there that promise 1st Page google results for X amount of money is wasting your money on cheap / illegal tricks. These tricks usually work for about a week or two, but once google, Bing or Yahoo notices these tricks (and they will), your website and domain name will be blacklisted and removed from their search results. SEO isn’t a cheap service, it takes hours of tricky work. Quality online marketing companies know what their SEO is worth.

google AdWords (Pay Per Click advertising)

Pay Per Click advertising, also known as PPC, is a method of getting 1st Page / Top search engine results by paying X amount of money for that 1st Page / Top position. google AdWords has a system that allows users to bid on a certain keyword to rank within the top results. For example if your business sells used cars, you would bid on keywords like “used cars”, “second-hand cars” etc, and when someone types in “used cars” in google, your website will appear all the way at the top of the search results. This form of online marketing can be very effective if used right and the ROI can be measured very accurately.

Even though google AdWords sounds like a simple and easy to use online marketing tool, it has to be done by an expert. Countless people have blown thousands of Rands by adding an extra 0 to a few keywords or wasted their money by targeting the wrong search groups. Running a successful google AdWords campaign is also a very tricky and time consuming process, however unlike SEO, google AdWords will give you an immediate result. Getting a professional online marketing company to run your google AdWords campaign will optimize your ROI and ensure that your search engine ads are correct and professional.

Online Marketing Conclusion

Both SEO and google AdWords have their advantages and disadvantages. Choosing one over the other is completely up to the circumstances of the business. However, choosing both will always be a good decision. Running an google AdWords campaign while doing SEO on your website is the ultimate online marketing solution. This will ensure that you are getting real-time results and traffic to your website from google AdWords but you will also increase your SEO quality as search engines want to feature websites that are getting a lot of traffic.

How Google Updates Affect Your SEO Campaign

How Google Updates Affect Your SEO Campaign

How google Updates Affect Your SEO Campaign

google updates its algorithms quite often. In fact, if we visit google‘s algorithm update history, it is easy to note they roll out new updates multiple times a month, and several times a year. Some updates include simple changes in the aesthetics of the search results page, whereas others include the introduction of new ranking factors.

We all know performing SEO on a website is continuous work, a routine. Actions made today will only reflect on your traffic down the road, and it takes patience and persistence to continue.

However:

Things out of our control can happen and ruin all the methodical and daily work we’ve done for our website’s SEO: the drastic changes in google‘s algorithm!

Does That Mean I Should Change My SEO Strategy Every Time google Releases a New Algorithm Update?

While it is good to pay attention to these updates, you shouldn’t worry about having to change your entire SEO campaign.

google Algorithm updates represent new ranking opportunities and criteria that SEOs should comply with, which is why SEO is a continuous strategy.

So, Why Does google Update Its Algorithms So Frequently?

google constantly releases algorithm updates in order to maintain its superb online advertising and search services. Several things can go wrong when running a business online, causing it to shut doors unexpectedly.

When this happens to a brick-and-mortar store, it is easy to see they have officially closed down; however, how can you tell if an online business is still operating or not?

That’s where “Bots” come in!

google has “crawling robots” that go around discovering and inspecting websites 24/7. If Googlebots can’t get to your website, it will never be indexed. This means if google can’t see your website content, then it won’t rank your website either.

You can avoid all this stress by performing technical SEO strategies to ensure your website is visible to crawler Bots, loads at fast speed, and depicts a true representation of your brand image.

Once your website is discoverable, Bots will analyze the layout and structure of your business, indicating how google should be evaluating and ranking your website. Clues such as breadcrumbs, structured markup and sitemap can help guide the Bots through your content, pointing out the most important pages and blocking the ones google shouldn’t consider.

Why Are google Algorithm Updates Necessary?

What makes google better than Bing, among other search engines, is the speed, accuracy and quality of the content it provides in its search results page.

Think about it:

If the search results page displayed links to websites that had little to do with what you actually searched for, or if it took too long to display it results, wouldn’t you try a different service?

We would!

That being said, google is looking for the best content available online, so it is safe to say that “content is king”! Quality content must be helpful, informational, readable and digestible – not just fluff.

The general rule of thumb here is:

“the better the content, the higher are the chances it will rank on the first page of search engine results.”

Choose Quality Over Quantity – Always!

Since its inception, google has been fighting off cheating practices of rank manipulation. This includes link schemes, link spamming, hidden keywords and keyword stuffing. Such practices are known as “black-hat SEO” and are used to boost website rankings.

Most people would like to know how long it takes a website to google.com/website?sl=ar&tl=en&hl=en&u=https://www.savageglobalmarketing.com/blog/how-long-does-it-take-to-rank-my-website-on-google-and-other-search-engines/”>rank on google, but the truth is there are no pre-determined deadlines for search engines; trying to bypass the process will only work against you.

Understand this:

“More content” doesn’t necessarily mean “better content”,

which is why google rewards websites that offer value to its users, punishing and removing the schemers from search engine results pages.

What Should I Do When google Releases Algorithm Updates?

Ultimately, google relies on a broad network of trust indicators that help determine the most reliable and trustworthy sources available online.

Besides quality content, another main trust indicator is the amount and quality of links pointing back to your website, known as backlinks.

The same rule mentioned above applies here: choose quality over quantity! You can always find people offering hundreds and thousands of “quality” backlinks to your website for very little investment, but if some of them are “spammy” and not trustworthy, google will mark your website as untrusted, and will remove it from its search engine results page.

Once google has established your website as spam, it will require double, triple, or quadruple amount of effort to help it bounce back.

Quality backlinks are directly associated with google.com/website?sl=ar&tl=en&hl=en&u=https://moz.com/learn/SEO/domain-authority”>Domain Authority (DA), a metric calculated by evaluating linking root domains, total links and more that helps predict how a website will rank on search engines, like google.

Thus, for effective SEO strategy, building and managing the link profile of a website is crucial to improve its domain authority.

In Conclusion

While rankings will constantly oscillate, your position on search engines results pages should not shift drastically if you follow these principles.

Whatever you do, DO NOT panic: poorly constructed ideas and actions will negatively affect your SEO strategy; if you are applying white-hat SEO strategies, just be patient.

The Step Most People Miss in Google Search Engine optimisation

The Step Most People Miss in Google Search Engine Optimization

The Step Most People Miss in google Search Engine optimisation

google search engine optimisation is not something new for anyone. There are some basic things that almost everybody knows and then there are some other not so obvious things. This article is a discussion of the secrets to google search engine optimisation which includes the not-so-obvious things.

So let us start by discussing the already known aspects to ensure that we set the foundation right. As you might already be aware off, optimisation involves on-page and off-page SEO.

The on-page SEO consists of the following.

  • Including the keywords in the title, description and in the URL, if possible.
  • Create the “keywords” meta tag with the main keywords for your website. Keeping the keyword density to about 3% of the total content.
  • Create some backlinks from the inner pages to the webpage you want to optimize with the same keyword as the anchor text.
  • You might even want to work on your LSI keyword usage etc. but these are all complicated stuff for me and I do not recommend all of these to any newbies.

All of what you have done above gives google a fair idea of what are the keywords that you want to get ranked for and starts the process of google search engine optimisation. But this is just the start of the process. Now you need to get into it in a bit more detail and “stamp your authority” to show google, your intentions. This is done by the “off-page” SEO.

The below is all that is involved in “off-page” SEO.

  • Get a huge quantity of good quality backlinks preferably from webpages that are PR4 or, higher.
  • Ensure that you use the same Keyword as the anchor text.
  • Ensure that the links point to the inner pages of your websites rather than the home page because this is what looks more natural.
  • Create more backlinks with a diversity in IP and work more to get more of.edu and.gov links.

All of these above said aspects of SEO are what majorly forms a part of Search Engine optimisation. This is what normally most of the people interested in google search engine optimisation does, but there is one final step that decides if all of the above work produces results or, not.

This is to get the pages that are backlinking to your indexed by google. How will you do it? This is important because it is only then that your backlinks will carry value and get your up there in the search results.

The easiest way of doing this is to send a ping about these webpages to the various pinging services. You may also want to place a link to these pages on the various web 2.0 sites. You can also write a few blog posts at places like Tumblr which would in turn ensure that these backlink pages get indexed by google. Though all of these might sound a costly affair, it is not. With the change in the way internet marketing is done, a lot have changed about all of these aspects as well.

The Basics of google SEO

Everybody wants a place sat proudly at the top of google so much so that they try all kinds of methods to get there, however the only one that really works is google SEO. google search engine optimisation is basically implementing the webmaster guidelines and trying to make you site content as spider friendly as possible.

Over the past 5 years google has become more and more focused on off page SEO factors, as far as their ranking system is concerned and this means they give less weight to your actual site content and more weight to how popular you are within the sites on their index. In this article I want to take the time to give you some basic google SEO factors so that you can start to optimise your pages for the google.bot.

Off page factors relates to getting links and the quality and quantity of those links is going to be a massive determining factor in how close you get to the top of the SERPs. So what makes a quality in bound link as far as google SEO is concerned?

The first aspect of your link simply relates to relevance, how relevant is the page linking back to your site? Is the page URL, title, heading and body content relative to your webpage? If not google will hardly notice it and you will not get an increase in PageRank. Make sure your links are as relevant as possible, this is one of the main aspects of google SEO.

The second aspect is ensuring your link is coming from a site with as high a PageRank as possible. I have mixed feelings about this as I have seen pages rank for competitive keywords and have links coming from PageRank 0 sites only. All I will say is the more high PR links you have the less low PR links you’ll need. Try and build up a mixture of both types.

The third aspect of google SEO is making sure your links are anchored with your keyword text. Do not make the common webmaster mistake of linking back using your name or the classic “click here”. Doing this is an absolute waste of a link. If you are selling cars link back using text like “used cars sale” or “car finance”, this will give your site relevance and keyword authority and is the most important aspect of google SEO. One word of warning when using this method though, do not use the same anchor text every time. You need to use variations otherwise it will look like keyword manipulation and your site could be penalised.
